Face To Face Pt 1
In the hour we’re living in, secondhand faith will no longer sustain us. The days of hiding behind someone else’s experience with Jesus—whether it’s our parents, our pastor, or our church community—are over. The spiritual war in our nation is intensifying, and the only way forward is through a lifestyle of personally encountering Jesus. We must go beyond borrowed convictions and step into a face-to-face relationship with Jesus ourselves. This means developing a history with God in the secret place, learning His voice in prayer, the bible and cultivating a lifestyle of seeking Him daily. Personal encounter isn’t passive—it requires hunger, intentionality, and often discomfort. It may mean laying down distractions, stepping into unfamiliar spaces, and opening ourselves fully to be transformed. Don't lie to yourself and believe the lie that you can keep acknowledging God part time, it is only through personal revelation of Jesus we are strengthened, refined, and made ready for what lies ahead.
Questions to ask yourself as we pray about Sunday's service.
1, Have I truly encountered Jesus for myself, or am I living off someone else’s faith?
2. When was the last time I experienced the presence of God in a real, undeniable way?
3. Do I have a secret history with God, or is my relationship with Him mostly public and performance-based?
4. What distractions or comforts might I need to lay down in order to make space for encountering Him?
5. Am I willing to step into uncomfortable or unfamiliar places if that’s what it takes to meet with God?
6. How often do I open my heart to seek revelation from Jesus rather than just information about Him?
