Missing the forest for the trees. The disciples asked Jesus after he was raised from the dead if he would overthrow the roman rulers and change the jewish people's situation. The disciples literally interrupted Jesus's instructions to go and make disciples, to wait until they had power to fulfill the mission. They were focused on a single tree, a particular situation, so focused that they missed the forest. In this short message we will look at scripture and see how easy it is to have selective attention spiritually. To see in part but completely miss the overall vision of God for our lives.
