Stay salty my friends.

Jesus told His followers, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?” We are called to be distinct, but salt and sugar can look remarkably similar. In a world where deception doesn’t announce itself, believers must develop the spiritual maturity to discern good from evil, truth from deception, and the precious from the vile. If we lose what makes us distinct, how can we influence the world around us?

Questions to Consider:

Have I maintained what makes me distinct as a follower of Christ?

Can I recognize the difference between truth and something that only resembles it?

Am I examining my own life and fruit?

Have I allowed the world to influence me more than I influence the world?

Am I still “salty”?
