I Just Need A Cup

Dec 14, 2025    Jeremy Jones

We all have that one favorite cup—the one we reach for without thinking. What if God looks for people the same way? In this message, we’ll explore what makes someone a “go-to vessel” in God’s hands: available, clean, willing, and ready to be filled and poured out.

Are you the kind of cup God can reach for?

Are you too full, cracked, or distracted to be useful?

How do we become His go-to cup — ready whenever He needs you?

Verses to read/pray about

2 Timothy 2:20-21 Clean, available, reliable cups can become set apart for his use,

2 Corinthians 4:7 the power, the value belongs to God and not the vessel,

Acts 9:15 What makes us a chosen instrument/vessel/container?

Jeremiah 18:1-6 God forms the vessel even in with all of it's flaws,

1 Kings 4:3 He just needs a vessel

Questions to ask yourself

1. If God reached for a “cup” right now, would I be available—or too busy, distracted, or full to be used?

2. Are there areas in my life that need to be “cleaned out” so I can be a vessel of honor rather than a vessel God has to set aside?

3. Do I have a desire to be used of God? If not what does that mean?

4. Where might I be leaking—losing what God pours in—because of compromise, lack of focus, or wounded places He wants to heal?

5. What would it look like for me to become God’s “favorite cup”—the vessel He can always reach for with confidence and joy?
