The wind and waves obey... Why don't I?

A lot of believers have went through a time where they doubted their salvation, they doubted whether they could continue to live for Jesus. Most of the time they realize that they had desires in their heart that weren't biblical, or they were isolated and they struggled to maintain their walk with God. What if God doesn't want you to try harder and he doesn't want you to quit. It's a contradiction in our lives especially as we begin a new relationship with God that we love God and appreciate his presence but also have desires that are against scripture. That is a huge contradiction that can cause confusion. We are going to look at scripture to understand what God wants to do and how he actually wants to do it. If the wind and waves obey Jesus, why don't we?
