God gave us the attraction for the opposite sex, the desire to spend our lives with others but he gave us those desires to be fulfilled in his timing, inside the boundaries laid out in scripture. If we are going to give our lives to God we will have to look at dating through God's word and come to a place of surrender. Can you surrender your control and let God write your story when it comes to your future spouse?
